Hi, my name is Irina and I would like to welcome you to Flanders, Belgium!

I arrived here in 1993 from Kiev, Ukraine. An English teacher by profession, I am fluent in English and Dutch, as well as in Russian and Ukrainian.

I have always had a passion for history, especially that of the Middle Ages. Moving to Belgium has widened my interests and broadened my knowledge of the European history in general.

In 2014 I graduated in Antwerp with a state diploma of a professional tour guide. Later on, after developing a particular interest in the life and work of Rubens, I spent another year, studying to become a museum guide.

I live near Antwerp, in a typical Flemish village. As a "local" I am happy to share my insider knowledge of this country, impartiality and humour guaranteed!
